We also are committed to helping the community. For these reasons
we now offer a cardio training program. Why
our cardio class is better than the gym:
Do you even go to your gym? We always hear stories about people
signing up for a gym membership and then never using it, or using it
very little. Even gyms that offer "personal training" don't seem
to keep people motivated to continue. If you go to a gym and are
successful, GOOD FOR YOU! We are happy to see people get in shape
no matter where it is. If you are someone who has the DESIRE to
work out and lose weight but you're having trouble getting it done, let
us help you! We work with you as an individual. We will
truly personalize your training and do everything we can to keep you
motivated. Our classes are fun and challenging but not
overwhelming....
This program is designed to
help anyone get into shape. We work with each individual every day
to help them set and reach their goals. We help with general
health tips and dieting too. The bottom line is that if you make a commitment
we will be with you every step of the way until you reach your goal.
The class itself is one hour of exercise. We generally spend 20
minutes on strength training, 20 minutes on aerobics, and 20 minutes on
skill... Here's a more detailed look:
Strength: You have to have muscle in order to burn
calories. We do a fast paced strength segment using resistance
exercises to build your muscles up. Although the focus is
strength, we do it circuit training style so you'll keep your heart rate
up and burn lots of calories.
Aerobics: This part of class focuses on working your
heart and lungs. It's lighter work but faster paced with a lot of
movement in order to get your heart pumping. This helps your
endurance and focuses on your cardiovascular health.
Skill: The gym is boring. Weights are boring.
Exercise in general can get boring. We have FUN every day!
This segment of the class is designed to keep you motivated by engaging
your mind and body at the same time. We do some simple martial arts
skill drills including movement drills, striking drills, groundfighting
drills, etc. The skills we teach you are real - not some cheesy
dance moves. We also take the time to make sure you're doing the
moves right in case you ever need to use them. We don't recommend
using this class as a substitute for our martial arts classes though.
Kung Fu, Brazilian JiuJitsu, or Muay Thai classes are much more effective for
teaching you skills for self-defense and/or fighting. |
